INSTRUCTORS
Jose
Ortega
Sigung Jose Ortega is an accomplished martial artist. He has trained Kajukenbo since age 9 and also practices kickboxing and Muay Thai. As the son of an amateur boxer, Sigung Jose has always incorporated hard work and contact into his approach to martial arts. His passion for Kajukenbo stems from the mix of influences, the ability to respond in any situation, and the concept of ohana and the power of the family bond.
Taylor Pearon
(Graduada sem parar)
As a lifelong athlete, Taylor (Sem Parar) is passionate about helping people feel confident and capable in their bodies. Taylor is 5x certified and currently completing her Master's in Nutrition Education. Beyond her passion for Capoeira, she loves to help others find freedom through movement. Taylor co-leads the TACFIT program with Quebrado, offers personal training, and teaches the Family Fundamentals Capoeira class.
Anthony Kouyoumdjian (Professor Quebrado)
Anthony (AKA Quebrado) got his start as a movement practitioner on the streets of Lebanon as a hip-hop artist and break-dancer. It was once he arrived in the US that he began training Capoeira in 2006. As one of Pavao and Chegado’s first and oldest students, he has traveled the world as a Capoeirista and a passionate teacher of the artform. He discovered TACFIT in 2018 as a useful complement to Capoeira. He holds a number of certifications, including TACFIT Field Instructor, Flowfit, Clubbells, VKNJA Steel Mace, and SafeSport.
